WAY OT!!!! I HATE Hurricanes!!!

Okay - I went to bed last night thanking God that he spared our area from the vast amount of the hurricane damage. Because truly I am greatful it wasn't worse than it was. I woke up this morning to at least 4" of water in my room. (Bear in mind I live in the basment area of my late mothers split-level house....that we are trying to move out of as fast as we can get our hinds in motion!!!) I have spent the last 5 hours pumping water out of my house just so I can get it dry enough to use the shop-vac on. (yeah - we haev our own shop-vac because we've been through this a time or two!!!) I pray that all of you were safe during the storm.....I pray for our neighbors to the south of us who weathered (sp?) the brunt of the storm!!! Even when it's bad here - it's worse somewhere else!!! I'm greatful for that! I just needed to vent!!! Love you guys! Dee Dee

Oh I am so sorry that it flooded your room, hope the shop vac, can get all/most of it up, and hurry and move ASAP. We on the other hand here in Newnan, had VERY HIGH winds, Hubby and I actually moved our vehicles to the front yard so that if a tree fell they would be spared. Our power did go out 2 times in the night and didn't come back on til 7:30 this morning, today other than alot of rain, everything is good here. Be Safe, Melissa

Oh No.... How awful DeeDee.... And I was complaining last night cause the lights kept flickering, and I was afraid the lights would go out during the night, and I would oversleep this morning... none of which happened. Turns out a big tree blew down a few doors up from my house, and every time the wind blew hard against that tree, out lights would flicker. Your right, even when we think we have it bad someone else always has it worse.... I hope your floors dry soon!!!! Susan
