NOW THAT I AM APPROVED.....
Hi, Phyllis, The main things you will need are your essential toiletries, something to tie your hair back, chapstick, and loose clothing to wear home.
You may want to take slippers. I just wore those footie things that the hospital gives you. I wore the hospital gowns the whole time. I had new pjs, but you can't get them over the IVs very easily.
I also used my Bath and Body Works spray the whole time as a refresher and air freshener. (My nose is very sensitive.)
You will probably be in the hospital for one night.
I drank water and got fluids from suger free fruit pops, broth, etc. I also drank Ensure. I love my protein drink that I have now, ProScore 100, chocolate. I have to order it online.
Hope this helps.
Becky
Becky, can you give out the information on how to order your favorite protein drink? I am still having a very tough time finding a good one. All of the unflavored ones that I have tried leave an unpleasant after taste in your mouth. Is Ensure suitable for at first--like 3 weeks post op. Does Ensure have too much sugar in it? Also, how much protein does Ensure have in it?--if you can remember. Thanks for your help. Sincerely, LMW
