how soon were you able to go back to work?

just wanted to ask those of you who are post-op: how soon were you able to go back to work? My manager told me last week that I wouldn't be eligible for FMLA-leave since I just came back from maternity leave less than a year ago....I do have some paid time off accumulated (about 2 weeks). My job is not very physical, but there are some stress factors....

I was back to work full time in 2 weeks. I was working part time from home after a week. My HR director had the surgery and was working at 5 days... of course, she left early on and off due to energy issues, but overall, she has been working.

Hi! I was only out of work for one week, mine was lapscopic RNY. Hope this helps. I had too much to do to take off and why use up all my leave time. Congrats and soon you'll be one of us.

For a perspective from the open RNY side, I wasn't able to go bac****il week 6, and even then my energy was low. Kelle

I had Lap and I went back to work in two weeks. I could have gone back in a week. I work in an office. Judy

I am 3 weeks post-op and I can just tell you only from my experience that I am not ready to return to work yet. I feel that I am still healing emotionally and physically. I know everyone is different though--maybe you will be one of the faster healers! I had a complication with my surgery and that may be part of the reason it is taking me longer.
