I had a "wow" moment today...my husband and I were meeting some friends for lunch & we got there a bit early. I went around the corner to a department store & thought I would look around while he went to look at video games So, I am looking in the "misses" section and start checking out jeans. I thought "well, I DID hit the 80 pound mark today, so I'll try on some jeans just to see where I am". I grabbed a couple of pairs and headed for the dressing room. Now, I am a wierdo - I tried on the smallest ones first (I guess I think I am a glutton for punishment). They were these cute "stretchy, boot cut, SLIM FIT" jeans. I pulled them on and HOLY COW - THEY FIT!! And I don't mean they barely fit and I had to suck in my gut to get into them! No! They fit like a glove and I buttoned and zipped with nothing hanging out over the sides! And they were even the right length AND on clearance!! THEY WERE A 14!!!!!!!! Needless to say, they came home with me. My hubby was excited, but I knew you guys would REALLY understand my joy!! Amanda 266/186/147

Amanda That is great. I know you are very excited. I can remember how I felt when I tried on the first pair of jeans that really fit after my surgery. Great isn't it. This past weekend I had a wedding to attend. I bought my first dress in 5 years and the smallest I have worn in about 20 years. It felt absolutely great. Carolyn

What a fabulous story, Amanda!!! I can't wait to get to that point! I have NEVER been able to buy "normal" clothes. I remember shopping at Marcia's Big Girl Fashions when I was only like 10. Hey, speaking of...does anyone remember when Catherine's was Catherine's Stout Shop?! Can you believe we put up with shops with those names?!
