Any have used Dr. Johnson? who is with Dr. Duncans group

Well here I sit .Only a little over a week a way from my surgery. I was called last night for my pre-op appointment for Tuesday and for my registration. The Lady told me my surgeon is going to be Dr. Alfred Johnson In Dr.Duncans office. I was wondering if any one has had him do oyur surgery. Please if you had please let me know about him or even if anyone has meet him I would like to know how he is...thank you all and God Bless. ... Beth

Hi Beth! Even though you are listed under Dr. Johnson's name for surgery that does not mean he is the one who will do the surgery. I was listed under Dr. Johnson's name but Dr. Duncan was the one who actually did the procedure. Dr. Duncan's office does surgery as a team. They even tape each one and go over it as a team. Dr. Duncan said the idea is for everyone to do the same thing. He is a perfectionist and wants the surgery done the right way everytime. Dr. Duncan and Dr. Hobson actually oversee all of the surgery's that are done. You are in good hands. I'm 2 1/2 weeks post-op and doing great! I pray for a uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery! Beth, I had my surgery last Wednesday the 29th and 1st I was told Dr. Hobson would be doing it. Then right before in the OR I was told that Dr. Johnson was doing it. I am still confused because I have not met the gentleman who operated on me yet. But I can tell you this they are all experts and so far so good. I did not have any drains and I am 4 days out and I'm feeling pretty good. I had one family member in the waiting room and she said the surgeon came out and talked to her but she can't remember his name. Well anyway Dr. Scott came a released me and he was pretty nice, but he was not my surgeoon. Go figure! Caren

Thank you Valerie and Caren, I am so glad you both are doing so well . When they called me Saturday night I was kind of surprised when they said I had to go Tuesday to a pre-op blood work and registration. I knew I had a pre-op with Dr. Fields Tuesday. So I was wondering what she will do then . I guess I will find out unless one of you all know . if you do please let me in...
