Anyone using Dan Proctor?
Rene, I can't say enough good stuff about Dr. Proctor and his staff. I had surgery on March 31, 2004 and I have not had any problems. He also operated on my cousin 10 years ago , she lost 240 pounds and has kept it off. Her daughter had the surgery about 6 months ago and has lost 116 pounds so far. Another cousin had it 2 years ago and lost 80 pounds , my brother in law had it 3 years ago and lost 100 pounds. and several of my friends have used Dr. Proctor and we've all done great . Good luck on your surgery , keep us posted on your progress. Judy

Rene, I also used Dr. Procter, and so have several of my friends. He is wonderful, and very caring. I am 7 months out,and doing great. The hospital staff is also wonderful and knowledgeable. My surgery was pain free and I was back at work within 2 weeks. If you would like to email me, feel free to do so!
Take care,
Kathy
Rene - well, you know I used him since we've talked about it already, but I really felt good about the whole experience. One of the nurses at LP stayed in my room with me for over half an hour one day we just talked about how things were in hospitals when she was younger (she was an African American lady - what a new perspective THAT was). It was just nice to feel as though those people had nothing better to do than to take care of YOU. The staff is not shared with other units, so the nurses and staff are there specifically to answer to your needs, and since it is a small unit (9 beds), it's easy to get the care, comfort, attention you need.
I can't wait to see you on "the other side"!
I would love to come see you the day after and give you some support and hugs!
Amanda
