Forgot this part - I used the nutritionist with Dr. Duncan. She was not covered by my insurance, but it was money well-spent ($100 then). The notebook and information I received were invaluable!

I didn't have any problems with BCBS. I used the psych that Dr. Burrowes recommended to me an dI didn't pay anything out of pocket. As a matter of fact I haven't paid anything out out pocket yet. Not even a deductible. I was approved in less than a week. Hope you get everything straight. I agree with the others have Dr. Duncan recommend someone to you or hey call Dr. Burrowes office and see if he can recommend someone for you. Good Luck!!

mt dr. had a certain psyc. i was t see he had a list and i called my ins. to see if they were in network for me.i have to say that was the easiest part for me 2 yrs later looking to sx. in mexico do to ins.dropping obesity coverage completely.what type of bcbs policy do you have.i thought they dropped all obesity coverage also!good luck!

Vicki, I have BCBS POS, as of right now they are still covering bariatric surgery in 2005. Actually they told me that it was your employers choice whether to take the obesity coverage or not, and as of now LOWES is covering it in the year 2005. They renew their policy Jan 2006, they may choose to not take the obesity coverage out then, I don't know. Melissa
