Walk From Obesity

Hi Fellow Georgians, I was reading the main message board and discovered they were having a walk from obesity. I cliked on that web page to discover there was not a walk scheduled in Georgia. Any one interested in getting a walk planned? The web site is wwwwalkfromobestiy.com. Thanks Dona

I checked into it last week and it seems that we already missed the sign up deadline. I was thinking about getting a team together and going to Columbia, SC. but I am not sure where to begin and what not. I was shocked to see that GA. did not have a walk! Maybe next year??

Yes I was shocked too. There are so many people in Georgia that I have talked to. YEs maybe next year. There is also a walk in Spartanburg SC. How far u from Columbia or Spartanburg? Getting a team togather would be a good thing to do.

I am an hours drive from Columbia, which is why I am seeking others who may be interested in going there... for me it beats driving all the way to Atlanta! Kathy

Don't count on next year. They had a group to run the atlanta event at Piedmont Park. They cancelled on us last year for no reason whatsoever. Can you tell I'm mad? They said that they will have one in Atlanta for this year! Liars! Perhaps if someone can call the obesity people and explain the situation, that no one knew info, perhaps someone can organize it here. I'm too tied up in life, so I can't organize anything
