to slow????

Monday I will be 7 weeks post op & I have only lost 44lbs, is that bad? If so I don't know what I am doing wrong. I don't eat but 1 meal a day, but I drink my protein drink at other meals. Any ideas what I can do. Maybe I am not eating enough? But with 44lbs gone I feel wonderful. Tammy

Hi Tammy, I'm only 2 weeks out and I think 44lbs is wonderful in only 7 weeks. I have no advise about what you are eating but keep up the good work. Shon

44 lbs isn't a bad loss in 7 weeks. Weight loss is different for everyone. I do have some questions as to why you're only eating one meal a day. You should be eating several smaller meals through the day. Your body has to have the food to burn the fat. Drinking the protein as a meal substitute is fantastic but you have to make sure you're eating enough to loose. (Example - small breakfast, protein drink, small lunch, healthy snack, dinner, healthy snack/protein shake.) Are you exercising at all? Walking even 30 minutes a day will help to boost the metabolisim and allow your body to burn more fat. You can break down the walks into two 15 minute sessions as long as you're working in the "fat burning zone" (which is based on your age and weight.) I hope some of this helps! Dee Dee, The reason I only eat 1 meal a day is because I never get hungry, sometimes I eat 2 but this is a typical day for me. Breakfast I have my 12oz. of protein drink Lunch I have maybe a teaspoon of peanut butter Supper I have either grilled fish, chicken, or baked turkey and a tablespoon of grilled squash with green onions. I guess I need to start eating more through out the day, but my Dr. said for the first few months I would probably only eat 1 or maybe 2 meals a day. And DO NOT snack between meals. He said if I wanted anything to eat between meals it had to be calorie free & fat free. I am so confused, I hope I am not on the wrong track, I have 90lbs more I want to lose. I know it is early but I don't wont to hit a platue early & not get to my goal. And exercise, I am going to the track 5 mornings a week & sometimes in the afternoon to walk, I started off with 1 mile & I now have worked myself up to 6 laps which is 1 1/4 miles. Next week I will do 2 miles a day 5 days a week. And Curves 3 to 4 days a week. Any more information you have, I need it please.
