6 weeks -39 lbs...
Went in for my 6 weeks checkup yesterday. Found out I am now down 39 lbs..... Kinda slow I would think but Rachel says it isn't slow at all. In fact she informed me that I was not getting in enough calories a day. We figured I was probably getting 300 or a little more a day in. She says the minimum amt that I should be ingesting is 800 per day.... I am struggling here to get what I get in but I promised I would try harder. Between the food and fighting to get the liquids in I feel like I am constantly putting something in my mouth. Still struggling to get in 34- 40 oz of water a day. I know this is going to get easier as time goes on. At least now I have a larger variety of food to choose from...Life is so good....
Try figuring out how much percentage of your excess weight you have
lost instead of worrying about the actual numbers. Take your starting weight minus your goal weight. That will give you your pounds you need to lose.
Now take how much you have ALREADY lost and divide that by your total pounds you needed to lose.
Now add 2 decimal places. (if your number is .3418 it will be 34%)
That will give you your percentage lost so far. Trust me you will be
surprised!
For example, I started out at 284 pounds. My goal weight is 150. If I subtract 150 from 284, that means I have to lose 134 pounds. As of April 11, I weighed in at 232 pounds, for a total loss so far of 52 pounds. 52 divided by 134 is 0.388. So, for me, I have lost 38.8 % of my excess weight
Use this tool to calculate how much you should lose from month to month (roughly)!
