Somethings wrong
Y'all... I feel so sick.
I've been battling this nausea but its been really bad last 2 days. Then tonight I got up and could hardly stand. I was having this severe pain, it made me cry, it was so bad across my whole lower abdomen. I called my surgeon and he said it was probably gas!???!??? I feel like I might be constipated (sorry if this is gross). He recomended ducolax suppository but that didn't do anything and I also took some milk of magnesia. The pain has subsided some, I took some pain med so I'm sure that has helped relieve it. I can't lay down because if I stretch out straight it really hurts.
The surgeon talks to me like I'm a histerical type woman.
Has anyone had anything like this happen? Doc said go to ER if it doesn't get better. So I will do that if it flairs up again. I am scared and wondering what I have done to my body....
Hey Lady, thanks for posting so quickly last night. I see you are a night owl like me. I tried the rocking thing and I did feel better while I was moving.
I hadn't felt anything so intense before and it sure scared the daylights out of me.
I went potty but this morning my abdomen is really tender to the touch. Hoping thats all it was.
me... taking one step at a time
As I have gone through various stages of healing this last week, every time I walked the pain or discomfort or whatever would go away.
Are you walking?....
Sounds too simple I know... but EVERY time it has helped!... I walked at 10pm and I was feeling tight across the lower belly.... a couple of laps around the block and all the tightness and pain were gone.
You know Marc, yesterday was the first day I didn't walk. And I woke up this morning wondering if that had something to do with it.
I gave into the poor pitiful me thing and spent most of the day in bed with the nausea.
Thank you so much for posting. I am still very sore, even tender to the touch, but I certainly am not going to let it stop me from walking today.

Hi Barb!
Wanted to put in my two cents worth (which is actually worth much less! ha!). Keep up the fluids whatever you do. Dehydration is a serious matter-and it can happen faster than you think (experience speaking, here!). So no matter what--whether your eating anything or not--keep drinking your water.
Hope it clears up-if not, get yourself to the ER to be checked out. Better safe than sorry!
Hugs and well wishes!
