I have a DATE !!!!

I found out after presistently calling BCBS that I was approved on Tuesday 06/07. I immediatley called Dr. Duncan's office and was told to come in on Friday 06/10. After I was weighed (lost 20lbs and was told I only had to lose 10-15lbs!!) and went over some paper work I was sitting there nervously waiting and praying that the date they were going to give me was before the July 1st cut-off (for us state employees).........And guess what happened????????????? I was told my surgery is scheduled on......................drum roll please.............................................Wednesday June 29th...yeah yeah yeah!!!!!! Thanks guys for all your support!!! Can't wait to be on the losing side! Caren

yeahhh!!!! Doing a happy dance with you Caren! I can't believe you pulled it off, that was such crap about the cutoff date! Well, stay calm sweetie. Love on your family and friends and clean out your winter clothes... you'll never wear them again (thats my best advice!!) We are here for you... Barb

congr. i'm happy for you...tell me please i keep hearing so many diffrent things conserning insurance. does this include medicade?

Deborah, Thanks Deborah! I'm not sure about Medicaid, but the state is no longer providing this coverage for their employees. I don't know the requirements for Medicaid to cover it. Caren

Hi! Congrats on your surgery date and having Dr. Duncan as your physician. I hear he is a good surgeon. My surgeon was Dr. Macik and I truly like him, he really cares about his patients. Just wanted to drop a line and say "hello" and congrats to you on your new journey in life. Be strong, take it one day at a time and you'll succeed in this journey and boy what a ride you'll soon be starting. Stay in touch and soon you'll be on the other side.
