And it's going to be a long one. I need 6 months of documented weight loss etc etc for my insurance. Which will bring me to Christmas unless my current pcp has something documented already with my meridia (crosses fingers) Its not really the time that bothers me, but that will bring me to Xmas time just to qualify and who knows what policy changes the insurance companies will make after the first of the year!! I went to Dr. Champions informal info meeting yesterday. Kelle came with me. And I have to say, it was nice to have her there to prompt me with questions I forgot I wanted to ask! One of the other drs. gave a little presentation (I want to say Dr. Williams but I am brain fried) I really get a good feeling about the whole group. The couple times I have called the ofice they have been super friendly and super helpful. So, surgeon chosen. Check! Appt with PCP on Monday. Check! And off we go! Beth

Beth, The Meridia time (at least three months of a new medication) counted for me...hope it does for you. Apparently, I had enough other stuff from prior weight loss attempts to carry me for the next three months.
