12 weeks, down 104lbs!
It's been awhile since I've updated. I will be 3 months out on the 15th of this month. I've now lost a total of 104 pounds since my surgery. I took some measurements before surgery and I did them over again today the results are amazing so far. Energy is back more than it was. I can feel like I can handle the world at times. Sex drive is through the roof. (Amy's very happy) Nothing like two people both getting their sex drive back at the same time...Talk about getting busy, I didn't know I had so much energy, it's like we are both teenagers again. Work is a lot easier for me now. I actually got accused of cheating on my wife the other day by another woman at work and another one who said I thought your wife was fat, or did you get another one? They both couldn't believe it was my same wife. She's lost 280 pounds so far. I walk about 5-10 miles a day at work. My ulcer on my foot is now completely gone. That's unbelieveable being it had not completely healed like this in almost 2 years. My knees don't hurt and neither do my feet. I went to the support meeting yesterday, when I walked around the corner a lady who had the surgery around the same time exclaimed "your melting", later when I said how much I'd lost she told everyone in the group pointing at me "I hate you". My mom said I looked pale today, but she said I looked younger. When I saw my pictures side by side I can't believe the difference. I can get them over my belly and the legs are loose. I do have some trouble with food. Always the first bite or sip hurts. Good bit of the time it will come up, but after that I'm fine. I've tried chewing more, eating slower, but it's like I have this phlem in the pouch and the first bite makes me feel full, but after that it will go away. When I'm working I get about 60-80 oz of fluid a day. Watermelon has done very well. I get the seedless, but the other day there was a seed. That didn't go well when it went down by accident. Chicken doesn't go well. Beef is about 60/40, you never know how that will go. Certain smells will bother me. Overall I have my good and bad days, but I would still do it again. I look at food and still want it. I see billboards with food and I'd love to be able to something that size, it's all in my head. I can only eat about 6 to 10 oz depending on the food. It seems that Dr. Martindale makes pouches larger then most surgeons, even my wife is able to eat more then most RNYers. Sugar I run the other way. I've had about 8 or 9 dumping spells, not because I just ate sugar it was something that had a trace in it. Vitamins I'm not doing well ( Amy is on my back all the time about it). I need to go in for blood work, because I feel something's not quite right. It might be my blood pressure.
Total Inches lost as of June 9th= 96 3/4

Oh, Kenneth! How amazing!
I have to admit, my first reaction was "I hate him," then I felt joy for you! Have you had the B12 shots yet? That might help with that "somethings not quite right" feeling. Your new pics are radical! You ARE melting away! I loved the "new wife" part. Amy does look absolutely gorgeous.
Love to you both!

I am so happy for you!!!! I hope you continue to gain strength and rediscovering yourself with this surgery! Give yourself time with some of the foods. I've had problems with some of them - so I understand how frustrating it is for them to work some times and not others!
I don't hate you - I think it's fantastic what you and your inspirational wife are doing to help keep spirits up around here!!!
Keep up the fantastic work! I'm proud for you!!!!

Good Lord Boy! What'a difference! I agree....it stinks that your stomach is just getting flatter and mine is gettin' baggier! Haha! I'm so thrilled for you....I think I'm the most tickled that your foot ulcer has gone away. Folks just don't understand the pain that the obese endure just in order to get through a normal day.
I agree that sex is better! Woooo hooooo! Thanks for sharing...I know it goes without saying that you and Amy are takin' care of each other...continue that. What a great thing to get a chance to rediscover yourself and your mate.
Continued success to you both.
