Dr Lin and Research
Hey everyone,
Hope ya'll are doing great....I am going to see Dr Lin today @ 2pm to get my date...he has called me last Friday wanting to know if I would be interested in being part of a research he and another Dr are doing, got the call from the other Dr and the research actually seems interesting. Bacially what the hypothosis is, is what are the changes and positive and negative affects from dramtic weight loss. They were looking for people who are diabetic and will follow them through the process. Next week I will need to spend 2 days in the research hospital for the different tests that the will run to get the baseline, what is cool is I will be able to see exactly how much fat I am carrying around and where it is stored. 3 months after surgery I will go back and they will perform the tests again to see weight loss and where most of the weight was coming from. There isnt much for compensation but I think that it would be good information for me to kinda give me a understanding of my fat, and the excitment of seeing the results and having actual proof of weight loss. Just thought that I would tell ya'll and if you get the chance to do this with Dr.Lin go for it, especially for the information that you will get in regards to the amount of fat and such.......have a good day talk to ya'll later....Erica

Erica, how exciting... I would love to hear more details of the research group.
I think its incredible to be part of a team to make things better for our future, especially with obesity issues which affects so many lives.
Where is doc lin located?
Sounds like you've got a terrific team on your side!
God Bless,
Barb
