New and looking for support group

Hi Everyone, I've been "lurking" (not crazy about that term, lol) for a while and recently joined this site. Are there any support groups in the McDonough or surrounding areas? I'm pre-op right now and hope to have everything sent into insurance company by the end of the week. Thanks for any information you can give me.

Hi Melissa, Sorry that I don't have any info on the McDonough support thing, (perhaps Shyra can help you with that...she's from that area), but I DID want to say HELLO and WELCOME!! C'mon out from behind that computer, and stay out in the open where you'll get some GREAT support!! We are going to all be getting together on Saturday, in Fayetteville, at 1pm...you are WELCOME to join us... it will be at the Johnny Carina's... Also, next month, we are having a shower for James and Tonya (who if you have been reading posts, you know by now they are getting married), and it will be in McDonough...You are VERY welcome to join us for that as well. Melissa, there is a support group that meets in Jonesboro. Karen Isaacson should be able to give you more information. I believe she sent us information when we asked about it. We haven't been to a group. Take care, and welcome!

Hi Melissa, You're welcome to come to Warner Robins and join our support group!! Keep posting! There is a wealth of information on this board and some of the other boards as well. This website is awesome. We'll be watching your journey... and be here for any support you might need! Barb
