hard time losing
i have a date Aug.17. I have to lose 40lbs.,and I'm haveing such a hard time. I'm staying so tired and have no energy. I know 40lbs. does not seem like a lot, and at first I was like no problem. But its not so easy. If I hurry and lose the weight they will move my date up.
just need to talk i feel myself getting depressed.....

Deborah, this is the hardest weight you will ever have to loose (well, except for the last 5-10 when you're at goal weight). After surgery you will have a tool that will help you. Think of this as the last mile you have to travel alone. I know it's hard to loose the weight on your own, and if it was easy, none of us would need the surgery. But, if you can push through this one and make a last ditch huge effort, it will be easier from now on. This is the last mile up the mountain, and it's all downhill from here. Good luck!

Congrats on the date. Mine will be a year on Aug 23th. So August was a awsome month!!! lol As for the losing weight part.... Some of the people on this board who were in the same boat and had to lose weight before surgery did the Atkins diet and lost it. I know in my list of diets I tried that one and it worked, until I added carbs back... Losing weight is NOT EASY No matter who ya are. But once you lose these pounds and get your tool, you will be loving it. Good luck in your journey.

Atkins really seemed to help my friend, and I can tell you that I lost about 65 pounds on Jenny Craig, but I KNOW it is expensive. (I took a part time job in the evenings at Jenny to get discounts on my food!..you should have seen the looks on the faces of the customers when they found that their Jenny Craig counselor weighed 300 pounds...
)
Kelle stated fact when she said this would be tuff...but girl...if you can tie a knot in that rope you are holding onto so dearly, and hang on tight, you will get through to your date and be ON YOUR WAY!!!

Deborah I am having a hard time too. I was supposed to lose 10-15lbs. I lost 10 and I am starting to gain it back, I am drinking lots of water I am up to almost a gallon a day. It helps a lot. Walking will help too. I hope all goes well for you! I'm not sure If everyone can do the water thing depending on health issues. Check with doc 1st!
