Just need to share this
Hey guys, you have been so wonderful that I needed to share what happened today. My birthday was in April and my mom was sick at the time. She promised me that she would take me shopping since I was going to lose weight. Well, I asked her to wait until I lost a good bit and really needed the clothes. Well since they were having such good sales this weekend, she decided now was the time to take me. I have not bought ANY clothes since I had surgery and was unsure exactly what size I was wearing now. Well, I have never been shopping where I didn't try on the same outfit in different sizes until I found one big enough to fit. Well this time, I got 2 different sizes and for once tried on the smaller size first. Well, this was an 18. I have not been in that size in I can't even remember when. She bought me several outfits that were 18s and XL...not 24/26 and 3X. I just wanted to share how much I enjoyed going shopping with my mom and for once liked to pick out clothes that fit instead of trying to find a big size, I had to find a smaller size. I wouldnt change a thing about my surgery.

D'Lynn! I'm so proud of you. What a great shopping trip that must have been. I bet you were grinning from ear to ear!
It sounds like things are going great for you-and I'm so happy about that. Things are getting back on track around here, too. Gaining strength daily--have a LONG way to go, but each day is better than the day before. I actually went to Lowe's with Paul tonight and walked around about 15 minutes. I was so excited! (sad, but true! LOL) I'm losing pretty well right now--trying to get all my protein in....what a challenge. It's so neat to see the scales change every few days, though. I know that will slow down, but I'm really enjoying it for now!
Hugs!!!!

Isn't it fun to go shopping again! I remember walking through the Plus Size department at Dillard's looking totally lost and a saleslady offered to help. I explained my dilemma and she took me by the hand to a department called "Petites" and said "Welcome to your new home". I almost cried! She was almost as excited as I was when I was trying on clothes! I can only imagine how much fun it was to have your Mom with you. My Mom lives over 1000 miles away and has not seen me since my surgery. Boy will I ever have a surprise for her come November when we go to visit her in Iowa!
