How much protein

My Dr and dietitian advised that I should ingest 100 grams of protein a day. Ingest - your body will only absorb about 75 % of that. So you need to get in 70 grams to your body. I lost a lot of hair and that is what they told me to get it back. It is growing back now! yea. Hint on getting that much protein. I drink a morning protein shake made with soy milk and yogurt. I get about 50 grams just from that. Eat a yogurt, cheese, peanut butter if able to help get the rest. By the way I found that after a week of taking the shake a lone in the morning I started to feel so much better. Had energy, felt energized to tackle anything. So good luck.

I can't help with the protein question, but my surgeon recommends that we take the vitamin supplement Biotin. I have heard that there is also a Biotin shampoo although I have not tried it. I am 10 months out and have not had a hair loss problem. Whether it is the Biotin or not, I don't know, but I'm sticking with it! You might want to ask your doctor about it.
