Praise and Prayer
Hey, GA Board Family! I went for my yearly today (50 weeks). I've lost 90 pounds now, weighing 162. Obvisously, I'm not going to get my 100 mark by one year, but it WILL come. Dr. Fields was awesome; absolutely loved her! The prayer request: I have to go for an upper something or another tomorrow morning at AMC because of this nagging pain I have had since last Thursday. I can unseal the envelope to see exactly what the tests are, but then I will google it and worry myself silly. I am a little scared, but there's no fever, and the plumbing seems to be working. Carbonated drinks may end up being a BIG NO-NO for me. I have been a bit addicted to Diet Vanilla Coke for about four weeks now, the Quick Trip fountain kind. Hopefully, it's gastitis and is not an ulcer. Ulcers run in my family. Oh yeah, if you have a tendency to binge, avoid bubble gum too. It is also a big-time gasser! (Maybe I just jarred myself when I tripped over the moving van ramp. ) Ending on a positive note, Doc also gave me free samples, and the lab lady gave me two boxes of cute bandaids for my kiddos. Great Day!!!
Love ya'
Becky
Ahhh Becky.... it was just all that Japanese food you ate on Saturday that is talking to you... LOL... j/k.... Good Luck with you upper something you are having tomorrow... I suspect it is an upper GI.... IT will be kinda like the leak test after surgery if it is the upper GI. I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers...
Susan
Thanks everybody!!! You know I had to look in the envelope. It's an upper GI series including small bowel. I guess it IS a little like a leak test. I have to be at the hospital at 7:00 in the morning, so I'm off to bed. Gregg says I need to leave at about 6:00. I LOVE and APPRECIATE you all!
"You will keep Becky in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because she trusts in You." I'm trying not think about the traffic, the bad tasting stuff, being late for school, missing the Diet Vanilla Cokes...Oops! Back to the verse!!!! Lord, I do trust You, help me to focus, focus, focus!
HUGS!!!
Becky
hehe my sweet sister, even in times of trouble you make me chuckle. Thats one of the reasons I love you so!
I imagine the carbonation is getting your pouchie a bit too bubbly but we all know it is best to be safe.
You still have 2 weeks to get those 10 pounds off sister... get your booty movin'!! hehe sigh, just kidding.
You have so much to be proud of Becky. You have come so far. I know you will have continued success.
Worst part of the test will be getting all that barium back out of ya... uhg
You are in my thoughts and prayers,
Love, Barb
