Wish Me Luck
Everything has been turned into the insurance coordinator at Atlanta Medical Center. She e-mailed me yesterday saying that I should receive a call in the next couple of days saying the packet had been submitted to insurance. I'm a little nervous.
I have lost all of 6 pounds...It is so hard. You know, I have struggled with my weight my whole life, and for the past 4-5 years, I haven't really tried to lose weight. It is very difficult. I'm loving the water aerobics classes....Hopefully with smaller portions, no (well almost no) sugar sodas, and exercise I'll lose the 20 pounds they want me to lose before surgery.
I just wanted to post that things are progressing.

Hi Steph,
Just wanted to wish you luck. All the waiting is almost the hardest part. You know, my doc doesn't ask you to lose weight (he said if you could lose weight you wouldn't be in my office) but I had heard that losing some does shrink your liver ( dietician said there is no such think as shrinking your liver) but I am managing to maintain my current weight which is pretty good since the urge to eat everything "one" last time is strong. I just found out last week that I will be able to eat regular foods again one day. Just not in large portions and no sugar.
I tell you, I learn something new every day.
Are you going to a support group yet? I've been to a few and ya really get a slap of reality there... which is a GOOD thing!
Hope your hubby is being a good roll model for you!
I'll be at AMC next weekend for my surgery, so, ummm, could ya hurry up and get approved so you'll be there when I am and I'll have company?!?!
