happy camper update

Michelle had surgery this morning. They removed 76 cc of infection from her abdomen/liver and inserted a drain. I do not know how long her surgery lasted but I do know that she stayed in recovery for 4 hours. The doctor told the family that the main concern now was getting her to keep some food down. She has not kept food down for about 9 days. Now that the pressure/pain is relieved from the surgery she should be less nauseated and able to eat. The doctor said her temp was down immediately. They have no idea why this happened. He thought he might find something but did not. Her oldest daughter is sleeping over tonight because they (she and my daughter) are leaving early in the moring for a field trip. Hopefully she will get better from here on. Anne, Thanks so much for the update. I am do glad her temp is going down so quickly and hopefully she will begin to hold down something. I know she wanted to lose weight, but am sure starving was not her idea of losing it quickly. Let her know she is definitely in my prayers and thoughts. Let her know also I have not called because of her needing the rest and being weak. D'Lynn
