We made it home yesterday around 4. The ride home was totally exhausting..... who would have thought that a 3 hour ride would wear me out. Guess the body is still in shock and hasn't gotten use to the new adjustment. Woke up this morning feeling great. In fact I think I am going to get outside and enjoy the sunshine today. I would like to thank each of you for your prayers and thoughts that you had for me. Surgery was successful and now I am on the losers side. Feels really great to finally be able to say I am a loser....Thank you Becky for posting for me on the day of my surgery. Also, it was so nice to meet you Marie, you are truely an inspiration. I appreciate your dropping by. I can't wait to get started on my photo album. (by the way, Joe keeps telling everyone that comes over about the lady that came to the hospital. He can't believe the big transformation.) Babara, please let me hear how your biopsy turns out. Was nice to meet you and your husband also. Anne, we have so much catching up to do soon. Thanks for the call Thursday nite. I do believe that we could have talked all nite, just wait till I get started good on this thing. We will have tons(literally) of things to talk about... Thanks again everyone for the prayers and well wishes. Will update my profile soon with all my experiences. Patrice

Hey Patrice, Glad you made it home ok, I bet you thought that car ride would never end. Just relax now and take it easy. Your body has been through quite a shock with more to come. Liquid phase is not very many calories and just getting in that protein and fluid is an all consuming task. When do you see Dr Hart for your first post op visit? It was great to meet you and your husband. I get just as much out of visiting with folks as I hope they get from me. I am just sorry that I have not been as able to offer much support these last few months but hopefully that is changing. One of these days I'll get around to updating my profile. Pre op I was online most every night for 3 - 4 hours reading profiles and posting. Now with work and life and just doing stuff I am rarely on the computer. I still lurk quite often but just don't seem to post. Barbara made it home on Friday but Sidney is still in the hospital and will probably be there through Monday. He has a bleeding issue that they think is just remanant blood from the old stomach but Dr Hart is being very cautious about releasing him. Talk to you soon! Marie

Patrice , I am so glad that you are home and things went well. You have been very much in my thoughts and prayers...although I haven't been in touch....as you know what Cerese and I have been fighting for the last three weeks at work. Don't get to thinking that you are SUPERWOMAN and overdo it too quickly.....no, I know you will do fine. I know you are soooo relieved that it is over and you can begin to actually start living life as it was meant to be lived. I feel as though I have merely been existing from day to day. I am so happy for you girl! I know I probably won't see you over the summer, but I can't wait to see you in August! Keep me in your prayers and I hope that by some miracle, I will have had surgery by then. Love ya girl, Shelley
