Stress and WLS (VERY LONG)
Becky, can't help you with the after effects of WLS, however, bless your heart, the sheer mental stress of having to care for your mother in law, purchasing a new home and worrying about finances, and it being the end of school and trying to get all your ducks in a row, are enough to cause stress and nausea. I loved my mother with all of my heart, she is now passed away, but lived with me for 15 years. I would not change that for anything in the world, but she also had health problems and that adds emotional stress to you that is enormous. I hope things work out well for you..... good luck and weight loss~ donna
Prayers coming your way, Becky!
I find stess brings on all sorts of things with me...can flare up my MS, can be the last straw that brings on a cold or illness I've fought for a few days....It's a problem for me!
I find it helps to find myself a quiet place-and just sit for 15 min. I hardly ever have time for me...so 15 min. of quiet time is a big deal. (how sad, huh?!) I know you're a busy person....but find yourself some space and just sit--clear your mind--do some deep breathing.
I hope things settle down soon for you!
Hugs!
Michelle
Thanks for your input, Michelle. It's pretty sad when the AP is waiting outside the restroom to escort you out...not a place I would want to be. LOL I have been running a fever, so I guess it's another bug. I do need to try the 15 minute thing. YOU know how end of year stuff is...SST files, testing, lesson plans that should have been in good shape all year. This too shall pass! I just want to enjoy my students.
I hope you are feeling better!!! I am praying for your friends who lost their son.
Hugs,
Becky
Dear sweet Becky,
I am so sorry that you are not feeling well and are overwhelmed with so much stress. I hope you are able to rest and take care of yourself....remember that if you don't take care of yourself (mentally and physically) that you won't be anygood to anyone. Hugs and prayers for you that you can find peace and good health
Much love to you my friend!
Hugs-
Ginger

Oh, Becky...you are going through so much stress right now. You have soooo much going on.
Selling your house/houses, moving, having an additional member of the family move in, dealing with your son (who is sounds like is doing great! I'm sure he is underestimating his ability in the 2nd class since he made an A in the first one).
I never really thought about the sadness you would feel at the end of the year teaching little ones. I so wanted to be an elementary school teacher...and I still do, but it just hasn't worked out. Enough about me....I got a bit side tracked.
I hope you get over this soon...it sounds like you might have just picked up a bug. Try to get some rest and get away from the stress for a little bit. I know...easier said than done.
Take care, and I'm thinking about you and your family.

Hi, Stephanie! The son's teacher has given him one more day to get a paper submitted, so, at least, there's hope. His great distraction (girlfriend) is moving to Boston at the end of the month. Yay!!! Just wait!!!
Seriously, I love teaching, and this has been an especially fun year. If you want to teach later, go for it. My mom was 36 with four kids when she started teaching, and DH was 32. You are the number one teacher to Mr. Nathan...nothing is more important.
When Gregg got home, he assured me that it was a bug since he has been feeling bad too. Misery loves company! LOL
Thanks for your kind words!
Hugs,
Becky
Hey Becky,
I just read your post and really felt compelled to say a special prayer for you and your family. Having done that I also wanted to let you know that yes, stress can certainly cause
and
as well as a whole host of other physical and mental symptoms. This in turn leaves our immune systems weakened and therefore we catch bugs more easily. This can happen to anyone but it is especially hard on us post-ops. Of course this is just my humble opinion. I am not a doctor but I could play one on TV. lol!
I know that things will work out for you and yours and that your prayers WILL be answered! You are such a sweet, loving soul! Just keep the Faith!
Be Well.
Cheryl G.
