Will the gas ever go away????
OK, I'm 4 months out. I've lost 73 lbs so far.
But, my goodness, I still have the worst problem with gas. Sure, I'm a guy, and all guys have an inherent flatulence problem. But, for heaven's sake, this is even ridiculous for me!
I mean, it's so bad that i even wake myself up at night from the noise! Sometimes it sounds like a bear in the room or something. And of course it drives my lovely wife crazy. (She said the other night she couldn't sleep for the music by body was making.)
I don't see Dr. Procter again until July.
Is this something I'm going to have to live with? Will it get better? Or should we start buying as much stock in the OUST company as possible?

Hey Tj,
I'm still a preop but I've seen others post that Mylecon baby gas drops work. Also, is there a form of beano you can take?
If all else fails, call your doc. You don't have to wait til July to call and ask a question. I know I'll be calling when my time gets here.

... and an idea for Mrs. Tj

At almost eleven months out, it's still pretty bad for me. Some foods affect me worse than others. I CANNOT touch cabbage! Love your OUST comment...we have air freshener in almost every room now. I still try to tell folks that mine don't smell, but, alas, they do. I think as we go further along, we hopefully will figure out more foods that "trigger" the gas. BTW, my hubby has always awakened me with strange noises, now it's payback time.
