Actigall??? Did anyone take it?

Hi All: At my 2 month appt my doctor gave me an RX for a drug called Actigall. I havent gotten it filled yet, because for me to take it is optional. Just wanted to get some feedback from anyone who has taken it or chosen not to take it. For those who dont know what it is, it is a drug that you take for 6 months after weight loss surgery to decrease your chance of developing gallstones during the rapid weight loss. The chances of gallstones are about 60% without the drug and if you take it, the chances drop to about 3%. Apparently the downside is, this drug is associated with liver damage. So tell me what you know or have heard about this medication! THANKS! Kelly S

I took actigall for the first seven months after surgery. Have had no problems.
