New to ObHelp!! Looking to meet people!

Hiya! I'm new to Obesity Help... my mother introduced me to it when we started talking about getting WLS for myself... I know I'm going to be going to a consolation date May 17th, 2005 and I'm very excited! I'm from the Valdosta, GA location most the time as well as Hawkinsville, GA when I decide to go back home and visit with my mother and boyfriend (when he decides to not come down to visit me). I have a sister, 19 who goes to UGA (go dawgs!) and two younger step sisters. I have nurses and x-ray techs all in my family so the ones that know are all conserned and wanting to make sure I go to a good doctor.. I haven't annouced it to everyone yet.. lol Anyways.. if any of you would like to just chat some time please don't be afraid to give me a hollar... I love gaming (consol.. pc... card.. etc.) and I love music and dancing and all kinds of things.. I'm a very open gal and love doing just about everything and I like company... =) Once again I'm excited about my possible surgery and glad to be part of this online community. =)

LOL Thanks to everyone who posted and welcomed me... it makes me feel good that people here accually care about each other and want to help and support one another.... And Kia no offence taken! lol I tend to misspell alot of things and now that I look at that... yea! you are right that was pretty funny heh.... Me and my mother both are considering the surgery... however my mother thinks I'll be able to get in alot sooner because alot of the pre op test you have to take I had this fall due to being out of school two quarters due to illness. And as for the Dr. of choice... mom really wants to get me in with Duncan and his group... she really thinks highly of him and that's who we are going to be seeing May 17th..... although I have heard alot about Champion... she rather me see Duncan but if I can get in sooner with Champion we'll cut our loses and go and see him.

Yea.. my mother went to a meeting around her area this past tuesday and she said it was so much fun.... I don't know of any meetings down in my area in south GA... =(
