How many couples go through this?

My wife had RNY on Nov. 3, 2004. She has done really well. Other than an occasionally puking spell, no other problems. Then I had RNY on Dec. 29, 2004. Things have gone really well for me as well. Other than my blood pressure shooting up the morning I was released form the hospital, the only problem I've had is a 1" blood clot on my left wrist where the IV was. No big deal at all. It has been a wonderful journey, going thru this with my wonderful wife of 16 1/2 years. The Lord has given me the best wife a person can have. She truly is my help mate. She has been a wonderful support. It's nice having someone that I can vent my weightloss accomplishments & frustrations to anytime I want. I was just wondering if there are any other couples out there who have experienced WLS together as patients. It would be nice to hear your stories.

Hi, I have not had surgery yet, but my husband and I are both hoping to get approved soon. This insurance stuff takes so long. It is great you both had it so close together, I think it will help having someone going though it with you. At least we will understand what each other is going through. Good Luck on your weight loss, and your wife's weight loss !!! Teresa
