4 Month Follow-up with Surgeon

Even though it is at 4 1/2 months..... I have hit the 80 lb lost mark, and just 6 more lbs to go to get to onederland!!!! Woohoo..... That is GREAT!!! I am so proud of you! Can you give me your secret...I had my surgery 11/29/04 and I have only lost 67lbs, I started out at 256lbs, and I was expecting to lose a lot more and a lot faster....I have been very depressed over this. Keep up the good work, isn't it great to have all the energy and the way you look in the mirror.... Later Tina

No secret Tina.... Wish there was one... I do think however, that the fact that I weigh more than 30 lbs more than you on my surgery date may have a little to do with it. The more you have to lose, the quicker it comes off. I have a friend who had his surgery 3 weeks after me and has already lost 125 lbs... but he weighed quite a bit more than me to start with. And while I am jealous of those who had their surgery after me and have lost more than, I also know that I didn't have as much to lose as them.
