Just wondering about vitamins...I spend $25.00 a month on optisource. I know alot a people say you have to supplement them, but my bloodwork is perfect and I take four a day. BUT....I want to be cheap!! Any suggestions? Thanks! Kathy

Hi Kathy, How have you been doing lately? I bought the bariatric advantage vitamins from the office. I spend about 30 for the vitamins, calcium and iron. They are chewable and taste really good. It is like having a treat. I get the B12 at wal-mart, sublingual 200 for around 5 bucks. I am afraid of taking vitamins whole, and can't stand to crush them. So the chewable works for me. I haven't had my bloodwork yet so I don't know how it is. The only thing that I can really tell a difference if I forget it is the B12. I hope everything is going great for you.

Kathy, I had my surgery almost 2.5 years ago, and since that time I have taken the very same thing...I take the generic Prenate prenatal vitamins that I get through an RX, my cost is .86 a month with my Insurance. In addition to that I take 500mg Vitamin B-12 sublingual every day..I buy this from Vitamin World for 7.99 a bottle quantity 100. I guess every surgeon has different requirements for vitamins, I have had my blood checked ALOT since my surgery, and everytime it has come out fine. I feel good, my energy level is okay for a mom of two very active boys! Take Care, Cathy Martin

Hi Kathy I get the Centrum Silver Chewable or the Centrum Chewable from Walmart. Flavor is not offensive, they are chewable and fairly inexpensive. Centrum Silver Chewable is about 10.50 for a bottle of 60 and Centrum Chewable is about 6.00 for a bottle of 50. They work for me. Bloodwork done thus far has been great. Carolyn
