I've been losing lots of hair the past month or so, and am wondering what to expect. How long will this go on? Is there anything I can do to reverse the trend? I've always had a really thick head of hair, thankfully, but now I'm having to learn new ways to fix it so it doesn't look so anemic. Cheryl

It's perfectly normal to loose hair. Get in your protein and your vitamins and you will recover from this just fine! My hair is now growing in with a vengance Remember you've just put your body through a major ordeal and your hair is the last place that will release the negative toxins that the combination of rapid weight loss and the anesthesia does to your body! I will swear by the Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. I too have thick hair but was paranoid about loosing ANY. I started using the shampoo when I came home from the hospital post-op and use it every day. My hair loss started at 4 months and has just about stopped now at almost 6 months post-op. It is suppose to help with new hair growth but I really haven't noticed any. Compared to what I hear some say, my hair loss was minimal. Would not have noticed it if it was not for the sink after I dried my hair. The shampoo is a bit pricey but you can get it cheaper at an Ultma store and it lasts a long time. (I'm on my second bottle in 6 months) Denise
