Hey Yall...I am 8 days post op..and have been doing great...but for some reason the past two days my stomach has been so sore..I can walk around with no problems..but when I sit down for a bit..and get up..ohhhhhhhhhh does it feel like I have been doing 500 sit ups..just sore as can be..is this normal? I had my surgery open..so I dont know if that would matter any..I am not complaining though..I have felt so much better since having it done..

I had my surgery open as well, and I remember the pain. It's only been 8 days, but by now, your body is trying to heal itself from the inside out. So when you are up and walking you are okay, but the pressure that you are putting on you new healing incision when you sit, can cause quite alot of discomfort. Just be careful, don't try to do too much, and you should be fine... Good Luck, Cathy

You will have these pains for a while. It's very normal. Once those muscles start moving and stretching, things will be a lot better for you. It takes time, just take it easy. Amy

Elizabeth, {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}} Remember to walk, walk, walk ..... it will help the soreness. Hope it gets better soon. Meso
