Congratulations to the both of you. Wheeeeewwww...... you don't have long. The excitement and fear and excitement and fear .......etc. will be constant companions until that big day. Try to take some deep breaths. I wish you every joy that weight loss surgery can bring. You are in my prayers. Keep us posted. Meso

You so remind me of my husband when I was going to have my surgery!!! Looking back now, 2+ years later, I don't really know how he did it. I guess it helped that we had two toddlers at the time that he had to take care of...You will get through this, and fear and anxiety about this surgery are so normal at this point. While not wanting to minimize any risks out there, keep mindful of them, but CONCENTRATE on the positive of all she will get out of this surgery...If you need another husband to talk to, I am sure that mine will be more than happy to help, and if you would like to talk to someone who isn't quite as far out from surgery, I am sure we can help there to! Good luck and never forget to breathe!! Cathy Martin

WoooooooHoooooooo!!! Congratulations! What a great hubby you are! I kind of think it was harder on my DH than it was on me. May I suggest that you lavish love upon her and buy her a "bling bling" that will always remind her of your support. Just kidding. (I wish someone had given those instructions to my hubby.) It's obvious that you will be there for her. Help her clean the house so that she will come home to a nice, peaceful environment, and listen to her as she is excited and scared in the same moment...just like you! One thing I would strongly recommend: Do NOT stop by a fast food restaurant for breakfast on the way to the hospital. My hubby almost needed an emergency surgery for the removal of my foot from his behind. A quick removal of that bag of food from the car DID divert serious complications. Hint: After the usual bowel prep, a person's nose still works very well. We'll be her for both of you, Bro!!! Becky
