Michelle, Sorry I havent written before now. I had to work Friday and was utterly exhausted onThursday after the 6 hr driving, buying groceries, and going to softball practice. Then Friday, I worked a whole day which almost killed me. I came home and vegged out on the couch and went to bed. The worst part of this whole thing is being tried. I am taking my meds, but I am still tired. Not sure if it is me or just not getting quite enough protein. That is the hardest part. I have lost 9 lbs in 1 week...woohoo... I have been getting my exercise in, and I am going to change jobs. Cant keep driving an hour or so one way to work. Gas prices are going up more and it is getting worse with my van. Dr Hart said everything was good...my incisions look great and to advance to that next stage. That was great. But I do know I cannot drink Orange Juice...makes me nauseated....hated that feeling today. I have eated tuna fish, toasted bread, canned pears in light juice....and I can eat chicken. Some people have had a problem with that, but I did okie with it today with my toasted sandwich today. Gonna really miss the pasta and rice because I love that, but I will live...Trying to find the foods I can and cannot eat...that is the fun part...esp since I do not like seafood, only tuna. Talk to you soon, love ya, D'Lynn

Wow!! NINE pounds in one week. Let's see...the last time I lost 9 pounds, it took me about three weeks! ha! Gotta love that kind of result! I'm so thrilled to hear you're doing well. I imagine the tiredness will take a while--you've been thru a major surgery PLUS your eating habits have changed drastically. Your body is trying to figure out what you're doing with it! Give it time...you'll have all sorts of energy soon! I've been diligently checking with my ins. company on an every other day basis....no word yet. It's making me nuts. The waiting is so hard...I don't know how these people who wait 2 months do it! (PLEASE don't let me be one who has to wait that long!!!) They keep telling me "it's under review". One lady told me they have 15 days from recieveing it to make their decision...then another person told me they have 60 days. Who knows??!! The annoying part is there is no set standard for it---some people hear in a week, some take months. Go figure! Keep up the good work--I'm really glad to know things are going well! Hugs!!!!! Michelle
