Hey y'all! I am supposed to go and get my drain removed tomorrow, but I'm not sure if they are going to do it, because I empty it 2x a day and it's always around 1 1/2 to 2 ounces. If they do remove it, will it just float around in my stomach? Ewww.... weird thought. Well, thanks for listening!! If anyone can give me any feedback I'd be greatly appreciative!!

They may not remove it since you are still draining, but if they do, you will still leak a bit from where the drain came out for awhile; whatever remains inside you is reabsorbed by your body. It kind of depends on the color of your drainage - if it is straw colored/yellowish that is ok stuff for drain tube removal - if it's mostly or all red or reddish they may not remove it - all docs are different.

Hi Jackie, My drain tube was removed before I left the hospital but it still was draining a very light pink. They gave me gauze and tape to change it when I got home. It drained 2 days, still light pink to clear. Never had any problem with it. Joyce
