HERE I GO GIRLS!!

OK, the computer has been down, and I have been dieing to tell you all that I have gone for my appt. with Dr. Hart. He was a good choice. His office staff is excellent from what I hear, and I am fixin' to find out! I went for all my testing last Thurs. and Friday. Going for the physco eval. this Wed. and a sleep study on March 22!! I can't wait till its all over. Dr. Hart sent me for a sleep study and that day the Dr. pulled me off the school bus, and I haven't been able to drive in 2 weeks. It has been really nice, and also a relief to finally get some help with this problem. It certainly gave me time to get all of my testing over with. Can someone tell me the name of the support group that meets in Snellville, Ga.? I would love to go to several different ones, but I need dates, times, and places! Also, Dr. Hart asked us to buy a book about bariatric surgery, but it is $30. Has anyone got this book and would like to share it? Do you think I need the book to refer back to at sometime? Any help would be appreciated! I'M PUMPED!! Karen

Karen We have a support group that meets in Monroe at Walton Medical Center. This month's meeting will be on March 28 at 7:00 pm in the hospital conference room. I am the group leader. We would like to have you join us. This month we will have a guest speaker that will lead a discussion on feelings of loss associated with gastric bypass surgery. The WINGS around Atlanta support group no longer meets at the Snellville location it changed several months ago. It still meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month (Mrch 19th, this Saturday) from 9 - 12. The new location is now: NE Baptist Church 4046 Chamblee Tucker Road Atlanta, GA. Go on yahoo to acess the messageboard and it also lists a calendar and directions. I also attend a weekly meeting on Wednesdays in Lawrenceville at Central Gwinnett High School. We meet from 7 - 9 in room 401. The guidebook is an excellant source of information and I referred back to it often. You can order it online but by the time you pay shipping it comes out to roughly $30. I have already passed my copy onto someone else but if you go on the messageboard and post you are interested someone will probably bring it to the meeting. Good luck in your journey!
