Odd symptom from WLS

I am curious if this is normal or just bizarre. Ever since the surgery, I have an unusually high gag reflex now. Infact, it is so bad, that I can throw up from brushing my teeth! Somewhat less odd is the fact that I am really sensitive to some smells and tastes now too. For example I used to love popcorn, but now just the smell of my husband making it - YUCK.

Being an ex-OB nurse, sounds like symptoms of pregnancy to me...lol. I really dont know but hopefully it isnt a bad sign of the WLS. D'Lynn

I HAD THE SAME SYMPTOMS FOR THE FIRST 2 MONTHS AFTER SURGERY TO CERTAIN FOODS,ESPECIALLY BACON COOKING. IT FINALLY WENT AWAY. WHEN I TOLD MY SURGEON ABOUT IT HE SAID HE HAS HAD OTHER PATIENTS DO THE SAME THING AND IT HAD DISAPPEARED. GOOD LUCK TO YOU
