Hi guys, Well I am 1 week closer to being on the losing side and I can't wait. Now I am getting a little nervous. My surgery is schedules for the 22nd. I am afraid I have gained some weight this past week since I went to a conference and ate way more than I should have. I have 1 week to make sure I am down some, although Dr Hart didnt require me to lose, I don't want to have gained any either. I don't really think I have, just psychological. Anyway, sorry for rambling, I am just thankful to all of you guys for your prayers and hopes for me. My journey has been swift and for that I am glad. Just keep me and my family in your prayers during the next 2 weeks, because by then I will be on the losing side. Hopefully when we are at our April meeting, I will be a loser. I just hope my expectations are not too high. Is that wrong? D'Lynn

Hi D'Lynn Well I took your advice and have a consult scheduled with Dr. Hart on 3/17, I am also attending a seminar by Emory in the morning. I am so excited for you and severely jealous at the same time!!! I am glad your journey has been a quick one, and I hope mine is the same way. I wish you the best of luck and ton's of prayers. Please keep me posted on how you do, I will be expecially interested if I do end up going with Dr. Hart. I don't think your expectations are too high, you should have lost some weight by the april meeting. I'll just remind you of what I have seen so many times posted here.... keep your goals small and simple, and set lots of short term goals, that you can easily reach. With baby steps you'll be suprised how fast you end up taking a giant leap! Jessica

I am so glad Jessica. You will really like Dr Hart and his staff, they are so helpful and dont hide anything at all. I will definitely keep you updated with my progress. I go to see him again on Thursday and do my pre-op at the hospital. Shouldn't be near as bad as the pre-approval tests. If you want any idea of how that is, just let me know. Not really bad at all...and Emory Dunwoody is a wonderful hospital. That is where I am having my surgery at as well. Good luck Jessica. D'Lynn

D'Lynn, Just want you to know that you will be in my thoughts as you travel to Atlanta this week to get all the pre-op done. I can't wait to hear from you so you can tell me exactly what you had to do.. You know how I am......very inquisitive.....By the way, Mildred sent me an email on Friday saying that she would probably be turning my file over to Amanda this week so she can get it in order to fax to the insurance co. Just ready for it to be sent so I can get this thing on the road now.... Let me hear from you, I am anxious to know how things go..And if for any reason you need me just call and I will do what I can to help you. Patrice

Hey, Girl!!! Almost there!! I'm counting the days with you-anxious for you, nervous for you all at once. What are you doing to prepare? I'm not sure what I'd be doing...maybe give my house a once over and do a few loads of laundry ??!!!?? Maybe go shopping for a really special outfit you'll wear when your skinny??!!! You can see where my thoughts would be--at THE MALL. (I can't help it...I love to shop). Mildred sent me an email Thurs that all my stuff was IN (finally!) and Amanda would start preparing it for Ins. I will probably call her Mon. and see when I could expect it to be submitted. Once she had your file, do you know how long it took her to get it ready and sent to bcbs? I'll be in touch as the week passes....when will you know your surgery time? I am here if I can help you in any way--you'd better let me know if you need ANYTHING!!!! Hugs!!! Michelle

Hi, D'Lynn, After my pre-op, I had two weeks to eat like there would be no tomorrow! It sounds like you are much smarter than me!!! Good Girl!!! As I get down to the last twenty, I REALLY want those pounds that I gained over the two week spree back. Oh, and there is a happy tomorrow! I now am able to eat my favorites (except chicken) within moderation. One bite of the cheese biscuits at Red Lobster does it now as opposed to three whole biscuits. You ARE on my heart and in my prayers! You're gonna be lookin fine on April nine!!! Hugs, Becky

Thank you Becky. When I get my pre-op, I will only have 5 day before my surgery, so i wont be able to do alot of eating. Isn't there a prep you have to do for 3 days before surgery? If so, I am sure next Saturday I will have fun and do all kinds of eating before I start the prep. Thanks again for the encouragement and prayers. I wll keep you posted. D'Lynn

Hey girl! Reading your post made me think of the last couple of weeks before my surgery. Still seems like yesterday and Wednesday I will be 6 weeks out. I have lost 36 pounds so far. I am doing pretty good I guess. I wish I was one of those that loses really fast. But I'm not. Sooooo...lol.. You are going to do really well. I know this in my heart. You know what you have to do to make the best use of your new tool. Don't do like I have and get discouraged every time the loss slows up a bit. I have to keep reminding myself that my body has been put through pure h##l. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you. My birthday is on the 22. I will be praying for you. Take care. HUGGGSSS!! Tonya Waters

Thanks so much Tonya. You made my day. I am glad we will be able to share this new day together, you as a day getting old, me as getting a new me. Keep your chin up and you will progressively get better. YOu know we didnt get this weight over night, so we arent going to lose it over night...even though that is what we really want...lol. D'Lynn
