Way OT - In the Valley
Hi, Dear GA Board Family,
Today, I went to work to find out that a dear friend had died yesterday evening. Janet Bowen was our school's speech pathologist for over 16 years. Janet's son had already been to Iraq once and was being sent back. Everything about Janet was tender especially her love for children. Her sweet heart just gave out at a very young age (early 50s). She went to take a nap and didn't wake up. Her son, David Collier, who was in my kindergarten class many years ago, will take this very hard. This sweet boy's life reads like a bad novel. Janet was his "mainstay." I covet your prayers for his emotional, physical, and mental well-being. I truly don't think David will be able to live through another tour of duty. I'm worried about him living though this loss. Dave is a gentle soul. Please pray that Janet's death will make a way for him to stay home. That's what she wanted the most. Janet's daughter, Becca, is already a cancer survivor at the age of 25. She's an amazing young woman. I think Janet knew I loved her. We had been though a lot together, but I truly wish I had spent more time with her lately. You never know about tomorrow.
Love,
Becky
Dear Becky,
I pray that God surrounds this family like never before during their time of grief and pain. I also pray that God heals your hurt and give you peace. Know that you are so loved and special to God and you have sown so many awesome seeds to others. It is time for you to reap.
Love
Michelle
