Worth it...I'd say Definitely...

I went to my pcp today to get results from lab work I recently had done and find out my A1C is down from almost 12 to 7.2, my bp is running 130 something over 86. I was on 10 different medicines totaling aout 14 pills a day not including pain meds and now I am down to 2 meds in less than 3 months. Yes I would definitely say it was worth it. I thank God for this blessing that has been bestowed upon me and though my weight loss is not as fast as I would like it to be, I still am very happy. I joined curves a couple of weeks ago and am hoping that will increase my loss a whole lot more. Everyone have a good night. I just wanted to share. Gloria W. 12/13/04 334/283/???

Gloria, I see that you have joined curves. Way to go girl Which one are you using? I have a 2 month membership for the one on macon road but have yet to use it. I have been real down about my insurance thing. I need to get started though. I have to go after 5:00. Do you know what hours they are open? I would like to go at a time when they are not very crowded too. Talk with you later, Nalani

Congratulations Gloria! Woohoo!!! That's what it's all about, getting healthier, living without meds, getting exercise and becoming fit. I'm just 6 weeks out, but am already off my bp medication. Feels great, doesn't it? And good for you about joining Curves. Getting into the habit of working out can be tough, but really rewarding. I bet you'll be dropping pounds faster now... Blessings to you, Cheryl

Gloria, what wonderful news! It almost seems like a miracle that so many bad conditions can be reversed by the results of wls. You'd think insurance companies would be begging people to have the surgery, instead of dragging their feet. Hopefully, this bit of news will encourage others to keep trying. I know that it has given me a boost, today. Barb in S. Ga

Hey Barb I am glad my little bit of good news helped to give you a boost. I don't post often but I had to share this. I think it helps to keep people who want and need this surgery encouraged when others share the aspects and benefits of it. Take care and God speed in whatever phase of this journey you are in.
