Hi everyone, i found out that my stomach only works 25%. It is called gastroparesis. Anyway, I went t omy doc on thurs and chickened out to ask her about WLS. I do know that it is eventually coming because my stomach doesn't work anyway. I respect Dr Ann but I was afraid of what she would think. Advice? Thank you Donna Taylor

Hi, Donna, I think a lot of people are afraid to mention WLS to the PCP, but imho, that's the first big step in the process. Why not make another appointment specifically for the talk, and that will help you keep your focus? With any health issue, I would talk to the PCP first. Keep us updated! Becky

It is scary to talk to any one about the surgery at first. You dont know how they will react, i totally agree, I would make an appointment just for this reason. Do not be surprised if they are negative at first they want to make sure this is what you really want, you have to be mentally and physically ready for this. And too if you are ready and excited they see that you really are ready and they will support you.
