I am not exactly sure of what the purpose of having an angel is but I would really like to have one all the same. I am sure it is for support. Well If anyone would like to be mine I would LOVE IT!!!! I am still afraid and putting on a very brave face. I am worried that I may not have good results after the surgery. Did anyone else worry about this? I keep thinking maybe I won't lose 50 lbs and that would really make me angery. Then I am afraid I will be like a pile of skin. Anyway, I guess I am worried about the what if and not just saying "lets see" Well enough babble I would like an angel if someone out there has the time. Bonnie

Bonnie, It's been nice meeting you during the support meetings you've been to. Basically an angel is someone who calls you or visits you while you are in the hospital or keeps in contact with your family to give updates to the board. Also gets you through those rough spots in the beginning. I hope we can all come see you on Tuesday if your not in SICU. You've got my number so please call if you need to talk someone. It's very normal to be scared and wonder how things will be like after surgery. We never know about the skin and how it's all going to turn out. Because you are young it might not be bad at all. Amy

Bonnie, this is Florrie and I am your angel. Your own BSGDDEAMC Support Group will be your group of 'angels'. We'll be there Tues. to check on you and welcome you to the 'otherside'. We'll be there for you, that's what your support group does. Being scared is normal....even your questions are normal. If you need anything, anytime .....just call me. I will try to call you today. You're young and I know been through alot, already, but we'll be there for you. Be blessed and stay encouraged, ((hugs))Florrie

Hi Bonnie, I met you this past week at the meeting and I just want you to know that you can call me if you need anything. I know we exchanged numbers and you have my email address, so please feel free to use them! I wish for you to have a safe and successful surgery and recovery. I dont live too far from gate 1 so if you need anything while you are in the hospital dont hesitate to call me. GOOD LUCK!!! Kathy
