Cathy, Who do you have insurance with? Dr. Losken's office got my surgery approved with my insurance company, all I paid was a 20 dollar copay! I too, can help with insurance issues as well. I DO NOT charge anything at all to do this either. Crece

Crece, Thank you so much for responding. Dr. Losken sounds like a pretty good doc. This will be my 6th hernia, 3rd repair. Do they ever get fixed forever? It seems like when one spot is fixed, another one pops up somewhere else, all in my abdomen. Well, as far as Ins goes, I have Principal Financial, Southcare/Healthcare Preferred PPO. Back in the begginning of Fall, I saw a Dr. West with Marietta Plastic Surgery, who submitted a request for a Panni, it was denied right away. This is not the same Ins that I had my surgery with, and I really don't have any documentation on rashes, ect...Any advice/help you could give me would be so appreciated. This whole Ins thing has me so lost, I know now just how lucky I was to have my Gastric Bypass approved so quickly without really anything for me to do. Thanks again!!! Cathy

Cathy, Once the abdominal wall has had numerous surgeries it will always make us more suseptible to having reaccurrent hernia's. The answer that I would be looking for would be if someone could redo what has been done securing it with mesh only provided you have almost quit loosing weight, the reason being is, if not, your mesh will become more according like and be more pliable to have even more. I would see Dr. Losken, he is the best at what he does and he has done the most surgeries on wls patients in the whole Atlanta area. Make sure you are on some vitamins, as he does require them. I take Shaklee and if you are interested in them let me know and I will send you a link for the lady that I buy them from. I would like to take a look at your SPD booklet which explains your policy in details if I amy simply to see if I can help Dr. Bert get you approved through them. Crece, WOW! I don't know what I have done to get so much help, but thank you!! I do take Vitamins, my surgeon put me on Prenate, prenatal and have been on them for 2 years, I also take sublingual B-12. I wish that I could say that I am still losing weight, but that really hasn't happend for a year now..I stay around the same 135, and usually go up or down 3lbs..I have mesh now, and I guess they will have to put more in, it seems my hernia is poking out just under the bottom edge of the mesh. Would you like me to send you my booklet? I could email you privately, I am not sure where you are in Atlanta, I am on the way west side in Paulding county..Just let me know Cathy
