Bummed Out!
When you're told that your paperwork is in order and your surgery date is only two weeks away, you'd think you could finally breath easy, right? Wrong!!! I got a call this afternoon saying that the hospital (?) didn't like it that my psych letter was from a registered social worker who has a counseling practice. They wanted a letter from a psychologist, no less. Doesn't matter that my letter has been in since November. I can either drive to Atlanta, again, or try to find someone down here who will do the interview on short notice. I couldn't reach anyone after 4:00, so now I guess I'll have another sleepless night. I don't understand what the hospital has to do with it, anyhow. I think I'll be worrying up til the time they wheel me into the O.R.! Anyone else run into this problem?

Flash!! It pays to have a good surgeon with a top notch staff. One call to Pam about my difficulty in finding someone to re-evaluate me on such short notice, and within fifteen minutes she had me set up with someone for this Monday. They even checked my insurance and told me it would cover all but $98! Over and over I realize what a good choice I made when I picked Dr. Scarborough. Pam and Dee have been wonderful at calming my fears and answering all my questions.
