I AM SO SORE

I STARTED BACK AT THE GYM SUNDAY AND I HAVE GONE EVERYDAY SINCE I GLAD IM BACK IN THE GYM IVE MISSED SO MUCH BUT MY LEGS ARE HURTING SO MUCH. I CANT BELEIVE TOMMOROW MARKS ONE YEAR FOR ME.

Congrats on making it to your year!!!!! That's a fantastic thing! As far as the soreness - the BEST thing to do is to keep working out. The soreness is called Lactic Acid. It's acids that rest in the muscle - and it comes to the surface when the muscles are used. Keep the muscle moving and it will keep the acid from re-settling! (Okay - I've become obsessive about working out - and I'm schedule to be tested for group fitness certification on April 16th.....I'm learining how all these things work!!!) Can some of you exercise gurus give some advice, encouragement, or a good old fashioned butt kicking to a girl who hates to exercise and only does it sporadically? I like doing it when I'm doing it, but before hand I dread it so bad, and the next day I start thinking, I'll just skip tonight....then I never go back! I don't know what's wrong with me. We have a small gym in our apartments that I can use for free, I've been walking on the treadmill. But it's so boring with no TV in there, I've just bought a Walkman and maybe that will help. I try to go on the way home from work (7pm), but sometimes I'm so tired. And when I try to get up early and do one of my exercise tapes, I hit the snooze button and just will not get my butt out of bed. What is wrong with me? I'm so worried about my weight lose slowing down, when I know how to keep it going. Get up off my butt. What did you do to get you motivated? Thanks! Kelle

Honestly Kelle - my obsession with working out is the real fear of gaining the weight back. I can handle weight being in the form a muscle - because I will not gain as much muscle to make me the weight I was..... I also love the endorphine rush I get after working out. The motivation is to keep the weight loss going - cause trust me - it does slow down!!!!!! No one can make you go work out - that's up to you. If you lived closer I'd tell ya to meet me at my gym - but that's not possible!!!! If the apartment gym bores you - find anotherone close by with reasonable rates and go to it. That's another key - I'm paying for it - so I'm going to use it!!!!! Good luck to ya!!!!

DEE DEE I WENT TO MY ONE YEAR APPOINTMENT YESTERDAY I GAINED 2 LBS BUT GUESS WHAT ITS MUSCLE AND IM OK WITH THAT SO HOW DID YOU GET INTO WANTING TO BE A INSTRUCTOR WHAT EVER ITS CALLED WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH IT AND ARE YOU GOING TO SCHOOL TO LEARN I WANT TO GET INTO SOMETHING SO THAT I CAN HELP BARIATRIC PATIENTS YOU HAVE A GREAT IDEA. LET ME KNOW IT SOUNDS REALLY INTRESTING. LIKE YOU IM LOVE THE GYM I CANT WAIT TO GET OFF OF WORK TO GO. I STAYED SO DOWN FOR THE LAST 5 MONTHS BECASUE I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO GO BUT IM BACK IN AND I ENJOY IT SO MUCH I WALKED ON THE TREADMILL FOR 2.6 MILES LAST NIGHT THEN WORKED OUT MY LEGS. THE ONLY THING IS THAT IM REALLY SCARED TO WORK THE ABDOMINAL AREA I HAVE THIS THING IN MY HEAD THAT IM GOING TO TEAR OR RIP SOMETHING WELL THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT.

You will all laugh, but since I only used a few days of the bottle of liquid lortab I am saving it for when I can go back to exercise I know I will be so sore I will be downing that liquid! lol.
