I attend a medical conference in Hilton Head every year in June. I want to know how long it would take to get a rental car in Atlanta this time and drive to Hilton Head. I would like to see some of the state. I have enjoyed my time in Savannah and will return there again for sure. What else might be experienced Atlanta to HH? Thanks for your kind responses. tee

The conference is June 4-7. We are thinking of thinking a day or so on either end of that. The conference, incidently, will include sessions on bariatrics, functional foods, and counselling patients about weight management among other topics. So, I'm interested in seeing what they have to say along with enjoying HH and Georgia. tee

I think it should take you about 5-6 hours to get to Hilton Head from Atlanta. I think the Georgia coast is beautiful! We love to go to Tybee Island for a quick getaway. Enjoy your trip and be safe! Have you seen the movie Fried Green Tomatoes? You can stop by Juliette and see where it was filmed on the way (I haven't been there in a while, but when I went it was nice). There is also Jarrell Plantation, it is a nice historical place to visit. We always stop in Metter for a stretch (they have the coolest little welcome center right off of the expressway). Of course, there is a lot to do in Macon as well. I know they have the Georgia music hall of fame. I'm sure others will have lots of places for you to visit as well. I'm not sure what is off of I-95, we haven't been that way in a long time. Have a safe trip!

I guess we are always going slow since we are stopping. I do recall seeing a lot of cops around Metter and Statesboro. Good advice.
