Ok.. I have been shopping plus sizes for as long as I can remember. I always love to shop, and seem to always limit myself to three stores.. Dillards, Macy;s and the Elisabeth Outlet Store. Rarely do I venture out of these safe havens. I am now buying 16w ( Yipppee for me), and hope to be in regular sizes by the summer. I was at the Outlet Mall this weekend, and the choices have me totally intimidated !!!!!!!!!!! How will I know where to go ... or where to get the best deals? I am now AFRAID to shop ! My husband says this is good, but I hate that I am letting something like this get to me. Anyone else have this problem?

I think you are intimidated by the new area. We make safe zones for ourselves as obese people or just in general. Be confident in yourself. After all you have been through and your hard work, you deserve to go into these new places..you belong in them. Don't let anyone or anything intimidate you. Walk into the place saying, "Watch out here I come and get out of my way!!!" Huggs jamie

Now shopping is something I know alot about!!If you like the Elizeberth Outlet, just switch on over to the regualr Liz Claiborne store, this is what I did. I really like their jeans, and their denim shorts, the shorts are a little bit longer than most, and I need the coverage for the skin on my inner thighs. The best thing about them is that they are not below the waist, like most jeans nowadays. I also like Causal Corner, and I go to Dillards all of the time. The best advice that I can give you is to shop smart. Don't buy it unless it is on sale, because at your rate of weight loss, it will end up being too big before you know it. Also, for the pants, I always bought them a size smaller than I was currently wearing, so that I would get more wear out of them.I am now a self described shop a holic, and I have never enjoyed it so much! I dont have the problem yet, but like you have shopped in the plus sizes so long..I will not where to begin when I get on the losing side. I actually look forward to walking into a store and being able to buy something i like versus something I have to settle with because I can wear it. I really reeally want to go to Victoria Secret and be able to buy something in my new size...whatever that might be. D'Lynn

This is something I have thought a lot about. We were in Burlington Coat Factory the other day, and I started thinking about what it would be like to have 1/2 the store to look through as opposed to just seeing what is on the end of the rack in the plus department. As a lot of you know, when you are a size 30/32, if it fits and isn't hideous, you buy it. I see outfits that I can't wait to buy. Shoot, I can't wait to just get down small enough to shop plus size at Macy's or Dillards. I remember being at a 24W opens up a lot more choices. I'll get there soon enough, I hope. I'm out of work most of this week sick. So, I'm really going to try to get my papework done.
