Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I have been visiting this site for about 3 years now and have just added my profile tonight. It has been very inspiring to read everyone's stories and i have learned alot about WLS through them. I am hoping to make new friends. My surgery date is 3/15/05. Christen

Hi Barb! My surgeon is Dr. Angstadt. He seems to be very nice and has a sense of humor, which I like. Thanks!

CONGRTULATIONS WHO IS DOING YOUR SURGERY AND DO YOU GO TO SUPPORT GROUPS

I have gone to one support group and have plans to go next week with a friend who had her surgery last month.

Christen, Welcome!!! I read your profile, and we are about the same age and I have two boys as well. Having this surgery saved my life, it made me a different person, better wife, and a much better mother. Obviously you are scared, we all were, and that is completely normal.I will say a prayer for you that your surgery is without complications, and that you have a succesfull recovery! Cathy Martin

Hi Cathy! Nice to meet someone that I have things in common with. I went back and read my profile. Yikes! I sound like a babbling idiot! I don't want you to think I am a sad person, quite the opposite. I had a screwed up childhood, but moved on to have a career and family. I love to have fun and laugh. I love making people crack up with jokes. I was joking with Dr. Angstadt yesterday. As he was leaving the room, he said "see you on the 15th". I said " won't be able to miss me...I'll be the naked fat lady on the operating table". He said " I'll be the one in the green scrubs, just in time for St. Patty's" . I said" thats good, just don't have any green beer before you come see me". St. Patty's is huge here in Savannah. Anyway, thanks for your prayers and good wishes! Hope to hear from you again soon.
