In the late 90's a bill was proposed that would have mandated insurers to include weight loss surgery. It died. Amy....certainly we need to offer our THANKS to Rep. Randall and her co-sponsors, but even more importantly, we need to write OUR representative to say WE NEED this to be passed. We all live in different districts, so find out who your state rep. is from the website below and email your rep. to say VOTE YES. Dr. Burrowes my surgeon performed WLS on Rep. Randall's sister and another family member and our support group has been trying to stir people to step up to the plate and just send a note to their respective representatives as THEY are the ones that have the power to VOTE YES.
