I know Cindy was having surgery on Wed 02/16, the same day as myself and Denise D. Has anyone heard from Cindy since surgery? Kelly S

I think her surgeon is Dr. Champion, I dont know what hospital. I am not having very much pain at all. I too am trying to avoid the pain meds, they make me have really bizarre dreams. Kelly S

I am doing GREAT! I dont have too much pain and I am tolerating liquids fine. Still a little sore, but I am really happy with the surgery so far Sorry I am going to miss the GA board dinner this weekend, but I will definitely be there for the next one! Kelly S

Kelly, Have you started your protein drinks? What about your vitamins? I can't believe I am full off of this little bit of liquid. I am experiencing some pain in the back of my legs, so I have been walking every hour also. I am tired and will be taking a shower and resting soon. It is taking so long to drink this protein drink. Denise: I have been taking it slow so far, no protein drinks or vitamins, I plan on starting those when I make the move to pureed food. Today for breakfast I had 1/2c cream of wheat and 1/2 c diluted apple juice, then for a snack I had sugar free jello, for lunch I had 1/2c cream of chicken soup strained and 1/2c of milk, in the afternoon I had a sugar free popsicle, for dinner I will have some more of the cream of chicken soup which went down really well and later some sugar free jello pudding. And like you said, I am quite full from these small amounts. I want to go slow and be cautious with my new pouch. I have taken a couple of naps today, to try and encourage my body to heal, though it is very hard for me to just lay around, I know its for the best right now! Take care! Kelly S

Hi Kelly! Sorry I haven't got on the computer and responded. I was running a fever and was not able to come home until Saturday around noon. My fever wasn't due to the surgery, it was from my sinuses going haywire with - I guess with the rain/pressure front whatever you want to call it coming through. I am feeling great. I haven't had any pain meds since Friday morning about 4:30 am. I actually cleaned out my fish tank today (with help from my Mom before she went back to her house). I hope all has gone well with you. I can honestly say that I have not had one bit of problems with the surgery. I really feel good. I started on my protein drinks this morning and it wasn't bad at all. My mom mixed up the entire pack (vanilla flavor) and poured me out 4-6 oz in a sippy cup. It tasted alot like the mix we used to use to make "snow ice cream". At least that is what I keep telling myself. I've been eating the sugar free jello and puddings. My mom boiled me some potatoes tonight and mashed them up really well and put some of the soup in them and I had that for my supper tonight. Tasted great on a cold rainy night. I have a question for you...I've seen people posting about the GA meeting. When and where is it? Keep in touch! Cindy B
